※ 도널드 트럼프 공화당 후보가 미국의 제45대 대통령에 당선했다. 많은 기관들이 상대 후보인 힐러리 클린턴 민주당 후보의 당선을 예측했던 만큼 트럼프의 취임이 미국 경제와 세계 경제, 그리고 국제금융시장에 미칠 영향에 대한 연구는 주로 클린턴 정책과의 비교를 목적으로 이루어진 측면이 많다. 그런 만큼 객관적이지 못했을 개연성이 높다.
이제 트럼프 행정부는 현실이 됐다. 지금부터 3개월 뒤면 세계 정치, 경제, 외교, 금융시장은 트럼프 대통령의 생각과 정책에 따라 큰 영향을 받을 수밖에 없다. 트럼프 행정부 출범 이후의 상황에 대한 연구가 충분하지 못한 것은 또 한편으로는 그의 선거 유세중 발언이 애매한 것이 많고 논리적이지 못하다는 이유도 있다.
